To begin with, I can't promise that I'll be as diligent with my blog, as of recent... (I'd much rather be in the classroom with your children). But, there seems to be so much going on lately, the blog, hopefully, provides a bit of support to what's going on at RTA.
Day Two was even better. I enjoyed getting to know so many students. I even got several compliments on my stunning pink dress. (The pressure is on for tomorrow!)
Sport Tryouts began today, with lots of students showing interest. This year, we are offering a long sleeved shirt online, which has been promoted by the PE coaches as a wonderful investment, unifying the kids. Certainly, it is not mandatory; and, students who are participating in more then one sport, would only need a singular shirt.
Tomorrow, all of the kids will head to their homeroom class for attendance. From there, we will call classes down to the gym for our first assembly of the year. Our main goal is to provide a face to teachers at RTA and to ignite a bit of school spirit and community building. Wish us good luck!
And, finally, we are analyzing the feedback from our gr.7-9 students re: CTF (aka options). Students will be given their options for the first block (1 of 4) either at the end of the day or first thing Friday.
