Alberta Health Services (AHS) is having a year-long wellness campaign called What’s your balance? If you are looking for ways to get more balance in your eating habits, try one or more of these small changes. Boost your Breakfast with Fibre and Protein. A nutrient-packed breakfast will help you get through the morning. How can you boost the fibre and protein in your breakfast?
As I'm sure that you've already started to plan out your wonderful summer adventures, I wanted to make sure that you save our next RTA Parent Association Casino dates (as you don't want to miss out on the fun, nor the tremendous support that the casino brings to the school).
The next casino is scheduled for August 21 and August 22nd, at the Deerfoot Casino. Please email me if you are interested in attending: [email protected]. Well, I realize how much I love CBE messenger... In a quick and easy fashion, I am able to get messages out to the entire school... Alas, like all wonderful things technology, there are glitches... So, while I wait for messenger to get up and running, here are the agendas for this week's School Council and Parent Association Meetings.
RTA's Parent Council President, Jena White, would like to share the following virtual workshop, by Telus, on internet safety:This virtual workshop is for adults and parents, offering a variety of Internet, smartphone and social media tips to help keep you and your family safer online.
To connect to this virtual workshop: Join the WebEx Dial in: 1-877-353-9586, 82809# To access the workshop you will need a computer, internet connection and phone to dial our conference line. https://wise.telus.com/en/ We started the year with 20 wrestlers and ended up with 15 solids. Our numbers were up. We had to turn a lot of grade 5 interest down, hopefully they are just as excited next year as this.
Our coach, Jeremy Ballantine, led our athletes to a very strong performance at the Divisional Meet. Six of our 14 wrestlers won their weight category and only 1 other school performed better when looking at percentage of 1st place finishes. Throughout the season, success became an operative word, well defined and carved from an individuals personal goals. Every one of our wrestlers experienced hard ship, suffering, and the elation of victory. Every one of our wrestlers will tell you that, after wrestling, life just got easier. Coach Ballantine and Mr. Blakney are looking forward to another successful seasons next year. |
