Parents and Guardians,
The opening of new CBE schools in the 2016-17 school year means changes for many existing schools. As thousands of students can now attend school in their own communities, space has become available in the schools they previously attended. Our school is one of the schools affected by the new school openings, and we will have opportunities to contribute our thoughts and ideas regarding possible scenarios for the use of school space in schools within our area. There will be an upcoming opportunity for you to share your thoughts and perspectives on possible scenarios involving our school community as follows: Tuesday, October 18, 2016 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. R.T. Alderman School 725 Mapleton Dr S.E. Members of the R.T. Alderman School and Maple Ridge School communities will be invited to this event. I would encourage you to attend if you are able. If you are not able to attend, there will also be an online survey available in late October to early November and a community open house in early December. The scenarios being considered will be posted on the CBE public website by 4:30 p.m. on October 14. To view the scenarios and register for the in-person session, please visit the CBE website here or cbe.ab.ca/dialogue. You can also learn more about how the CBE is working with the community on the use of school space across our system at that link. Please feel free to get in touch with me at phone no and email if you have any questions or comments you would like to share about this. Sincerely, Brenda Lewis Comments are closed.
